This is the most common question I get asked when writing about my cooking experience and a topic I have covered many times before. It has been a while since I have used the word “king” in this context, so it is a good one to ask. My answer to this question is going to be a little bit more nuanced than the typical “You should be careful with salt!” answer.

It’s the same reason why fast-roasted meats are so popular, so much so that they are even available at some supermarkets and fast-food places. What happens when you don’t have enough seating? You have to stand at the counter and wait for a table, and that’s no fun.
